Here’s the next installment of the comic; it’s one page.
A couple thoughts
I’ve been doing this comic for many moons now. The thing about this comic is, I don’t care how “not-good” and imperfect it is. I may redo it one day and really try to make it “tight” and presentable. It’s all an experiment. I’m putting ideas I care about on the page and occasionally amusing myself1 at the same time. Both Stoic and Epicurean at the same time.
The creative process is the point. The trying to create is the point. I listen to Pink Floyd as I draw and paint.
Quite a few Pink Floyd songs grab my heart but whenever I hear the lines,
I knew the moment had arrived for killing the past And coming back to life
from the song, “Coming Back to Life,” it kicks me in the sternum. Kill the past and come back to life. Life is never certain. Try again. Start again, if necessary.
If you didn’t catch the first parts of this comic, here they are:
the first page
the second page
the third page
the fourth page
Let me know what you think of Hannah and Rosie’s travels.
Pledges
I would like to ask you to consider pledging to my substack, A Good Spot, as it would be greatly encouraging and well, simply, AWESOME. (Pledging is not paying right away; a subscriber pledges to become a paid subscriber if and when I turn on paid subscriptions, which I don’t plan to do for a long while. When I do, every thin dime will go directly to rescued animals.)
If you have to change your subscription with me to pledge, here’s a link to Substack’s help page for doing just that: https://support.substack.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044105731-How-do-I-change-my-subscription-plan-on-Substack-.
The two turtles on the log are an homage to Ozzy Man’s voice-over of this YT short. It’s a video you didn’t know you needed to see.
Always great to see another H&R comic. Great cornstalks!! May they continue on with a very pleasant, and heavenly ride.
