Sabbatical, let me thank you for seven things you have given me thus far.
Ideas: I have read books and articles that I would not have had time to read in non-sabbatical time, also known as “regular time.”
Quiet: I have been able to walk Ande and to observe nature with peace of mind every day.
Personal Time: I have been able to contemplate non-academic projects and pursuits.
Creative Time: I have been able to pick up colorful pens and doodle.
Unawareness Type #1: I am unaware of when fall semester classes start, though they start soon, as I have no classes to prep.
Unawareness Type #2: I awake mornings and don’t worry about what day of the week it is, and I often have no idea the date until it is presented to me as a fact necessary to know.
Unawareness Type #3: no meetings. Use your imagination of what this absolves me of.
